HOMEÏã¸ÛÂí»á¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Housing Associations are inviting owners of houses, bungalows and flats who are seeking to sell their properties to offer HOMEÏã¸ÛÂí»á¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Housing Associations the opportunity to purchase these properties. Although, it is important to stress that HOMEÏã¸ÛÂí»á¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Housing Associations will not be able to purchase all of the properties that are offered. Properties will normally be ex-council, but other properties may be considered in some circumstances.
A property will be considered if it meets the following criteria.
- There is demand for the type and size of property in that area.
- The combined cost of buying the property and bringing it up to letting standards would represent value for money.
- Properties, where a tenant would have to leave the property to enable a sale, cannot be considered.
Priority will be given to purchasing properties which would enable HOMEÏã¸ÛÂí»á¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Housing Associations to take complete, or majority, ownership of blocks of flats making communal repairs much easier to complete.
